STUDIO
Bruce Newman, owner and General manager of Barnstormers Recordings says "For harmonica, Michael Rubin has become my first call and I fully intend hiring him again in the future."
Thomas Van Der Brook of Tonehaus studio says,"I have work with Michael Rubin in various capacities in the past 4 years, and not only is he a professional musician, but he is an excellent one at that! I first met Michael many years ago when he was being used as a sideman during a recording session in my recording studio, Tonehaus. Since that time I have always wanted to work together with him again, but I never had the opportunity until I was putting on the first concert for my string quartet this past March, when he agreed to play a movement from a violin concerto on his harmonica. It was an amazing performance, and I'm looking forward to the next time we can collaborate."

The Lennings
"To say the absolute least, Rubin is an incredibly talented soloist. He can play like a new mother, nursing an audience from his safe, musical teat. He can shape-shift into a freight train and navigate a band straight to Hell. Whatever the song calls for, he'll do it. He's confident, he's competent, and he's a confidant. He's the guy, and he's the guy behind the guy. He's both guys. Not sure what we're talking about anymore, but this much is true: Michael Rubin is great."
Please note, The Lennings play the song "Nazareth" with me on my new CD Call of my Harp, but at the time the CD was printed, they were still called The Lemmings.-Michael Rubin
